Lancing United Youth is the new name for Sompting & Thistle Youth having joined forces with the adult football club, Lancing United. While we share the same name, we are separately affiliated to the FA and also run completely independently with our own committee. We are an FA Charter Standard youth football club based in Lancing, West Sussex providing an organised and friendly environment for children in the Sompting, Lancing, Shoreham and Worthing areas. We cater for all age groups and abilities from Reception through to Under 16 (School Year 11) and last season we had 9 squads running between ages of U6 and U16. All teams play in the Saywell International sponsored Arun & Chichester Youth Football League and over the years we have enjoyed success at all levels including teams obtaining promotion, winning League Titles & Cups and also the occasional League & Cup double.

We see boxing as a skill of sport & fitness and welcome juniors and seniors, both male and female, to train for competitive boxing or, alternatively, non-contact, advanced physical fitness. We DO NOT force any club member to box competitively. However, for those who are good enough and wish to compete at a competitive level, there is the opportunity including entry into National Championships. Coaches at Adur District Amateur Boxing Club specialise in technique training, focusing on a wide range of skills from the basic stance to advanced combination and counter combination moves. For every punch, we teach many variations of defence. Amateur boxing is a healthy, well-regulated sport. The sport has an excellent safety record and the welfare of boxers is one of great significance to us at Adur District ABC.
