Hi my name is Lynne Box,
I am passionate about painting and gained a degree in Fine Art Painting at Brighton Uni in 1998. Since then I am proud to say I have sold work through galleries and from commissions. Recently, I have been encouraged to provide private art tuition to children who have shown a desire to explore their creative side as there seems to be very little guidance in this area, especially for the under 7s. I am not a qualified teacher and have no wish to teach I am more interested in encouraging confidence while giving a child a few technical skills they may find helpful. If you feel your child is talented and would like them to have some 1 to 1 tuition in drawing and painting I would love to nurture those blossoming artists.
I charge £10 per hour per child for 7s and under. This covers material costs such as paints, pencils, paper and my time. I think an hour is more than enough at a time at this age.
I charge £ 15 per hour for 8s and over as will use higher quality materials such as canvas and acrylic paints if they feel confident enough to do so.
I can offer Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons after school which will be probably be groups of 2 to 4 children and Saturdays all day for 1 to 1 sessions. Fridays in school hours are for pre-schoolers.
The sessions take place in the small art studio at my house where they have free reign to express themselves.
