Thanks for visiting our Facebook page! if you're not already a member, we hope you pop into the club when you're next passing to have a look around the club to get a sense of the wide range of facilities on offer to our members and their guests. We’ve written this note to give you an overview, but nothing beats actually having a look round!
Club Facilities
In the Sports Bar we have two large screen TV’s and we have the full Sky Sports package available plus two racing channels. We also have a permanent dart board and host regular local darts league matches.
Attached to the sports bar is our Skittle Alley which is reputably the best in the area. We are the home for 10 teams who compete in a number of the local skittle leagues. The Alley has seating for 30 people and CCTV, enabling a view of the pins from the scoring end. It also has a digital jukebox, making it the perfect venue for any occasion. Our Alley is also available for private hire at just £15.
In our Snooker Room we have three full size snooker tables for our members and their guests to use, all maintained to competition standard.
The comfortably furnished Millennium Lounge is perfect for any occasion and is also the venue for Bingo, Cribbage and our regular tasting evenings, the most recent being a Butcombe Brewery tasting.
The Somerset Suite is our large function room. There is disabled access and within the room is a fully stocked bar, a raised stage, dance floor and all normal business facilities (free wi-fi throughout the club and projector screen etc). The Somerset Suite is licensed for 150 people and is available to hire from £60 (or free to bona fide charities). In addition the Committee Room is available to hire for smaller gatherings and is suitable for meetings of up to 16 people.
As for catering, we offer a full À la carte menu which is available lunchtimes from 12 to 2pm, 12 to 3pm Sundays and Friday and Saturday evenings 6pm to 8pm. The Club also offers a full catering service to suit any function or occasion; from business meetings to weddings, birthday parties and conferences.
Finally our spacious Garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun and we also have a covered area in case of the odd shower.
Our Prices
As a members club we are able to keep our prices low and our bar prices are reported to be amongst the cheapest in the area. For example a pint of Greene King IPA is currently only £2.25, Stella 4% only £2.50 per pint and Club doubles just £2.30. All our bars are fully stocked and we carry out regular reviews to ensure that our members get the best possible prices.
Whilst we are a private members club we work hard to keep our members subscriptions low; currently under 40p per week. We always welcome new members, so, if you would like to join, or would simply like further information, please feel free to contact is either by phone, email or just pop in.
