Hello from the Amble Inn! Situated on the outskirts of Harpenden, and under the management of Mr Joe Brouder, the Amble Inn is a family-friendly pub with a large garden - your local with a difference! We offer an extensive selection of beers, wines and real ales, spirits and soft drinks, as well as hot drinks for warming up now that the chill is definitely in the air! We’ve been having a refurbishment over the last few weeks, so come in and have a look at our brand new signage, paintwork, ladies & gents toilets, floors, car park & fencing. Interior paint work and new furniture are just around the corner! Our new menu is to launch on 9th December and offers great food at a reasonable price. Come in and see for yourself! We serve food: Monday- Saturday 12 noon to 3 pm, 6pm until 9pm. Sunday 12 noon – 4pm Perhaps you work locally and would like to pop in on a weekday lunchtime? To save you time during your lunch hour, we will be delighted to take your order by phone, so that your food is ready and waiting when you arrive. Alternatively, why not enjoy one of our delicious Sunday roasts, or while away a cosy evening in front of our real log fire with a glass of mulled cider? You relax, our friendly bar staff will keep the drinks flowing and make sure your needs are more than catered for… we’re really good at it! You may be planning a special celebration. We have a buffet menu to suit all tastes and budgets, so do give us a call to discuss your requirements. We understand everyone is different so no two evenings we cater for are the same. We run a popular open mic night every other Tuesday. Famous for the friendly atmosphere and providing a place for the talented musicians of Harpenden and further afield to come and ply their trade; all are welcome to take the stage and wait for the applause! When we’re not showcasing the next MJ on Tuesdays, we’re busy dealing out playing cards for Texas Hold ‘em Poker - free hot nibbles are offered to fuel the fire whilst you play. The Inn On The Green is a beautiful pub,overlooking the village green in Harpenden. We are close to the railway station from where it is just a twenty minute journey to London St Pancras. Historically, the rear of the pub dates back to the early 16th Century with the front only thirty years old! The building was originally two cottages, then an ironmongers, cycle depot, town library, Mary Ellen's tea rooms and since the late 1960's, a Greene King pub. Inside there it is a one room operation with a snug room on the left perfect for small functions and private dining. The raised area to the front of the pub is another snug area, perfect for couples. Outside there is a large well maintained sun terrace with lots of comfortable seating, by far the best in the village. We are a popular summer venue with sun all day long and into the evening. We also have a heated outdoor smoking area which is well covered for winter weather. Excellent pub food is served all day everyday from our superb main menu with regularly changing specials. As for drinks, we sell a large selection of draught lagers and ciders alongside award winning Greene King Cask Ales. We have an extensive wine,spirit and soft drink selection with something to suit everyones tastes. Entertainment comes in the form of a weekly quiz on Wednesday nights with BBC Three Counties Radio presenter Ernie Almond, occasional live music, psychic nights and much more to come.

Sitting on the idyllic Harpenden Common since 1838, the Silver Cup is a traditional, English pub that serves great pub food and locally brewed beers as well as offering bed and breakfast accommodation

The main bar of the pub features a warming fire, a flagstone floor, a very unusual pewter-topped bar, and pewter tankards belonging to regular customers, past and present, hang from the ceiling, as used to be the tradition in many English pubs. The main bar dates from the 16th Century and the smaller bar was added in the 17th Century. The Cross Keys prides itself on offering well-kept real ales and a selection of high-quality wines. Keenly-priced and home-cooked traditional "pub grub" is available at lunchtimes from Monday to Friday. The Cross Keys provides a quiet haven from modern-day busy and noisy life. There is no background music, no television, no gaming machines, and the use of mobile phones inside the pub is discouraged. The pub is fortunate in having a pretty, secluded garden to the rear of the pub and two covered seating areas for smokers. Well-behaved dogs, with their owners, are welcomed.
