St. Mark's, Portadown

St. Mark's, Portadown

St. Mark's Church, Church Street, Portadown ,
The Church of Ireland Parish of Portadown The Christian Church is a group of people who Jesus has saved and called to be missionaries. St. Mark's is part of this mission. We come together as one family to worship Jesus at different times on Sundays and during the week. Outside of the church building, we aim to love the world as Jesus loves the world. We want you to get connected and get involved. But more than that, we want you to get to know Jesus. Jesus is saying to you, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." (John 20:27) And as a result, we want you to be able to say to Jesus, "My Lord and my God" (John 20:28) We want you to experience the abundance of life that He offers. We want you to live a transformed life for the glory of God. The 20th century Christian writer, C.S. Lewis, once said that there is no such thing as a freelance Christian. To get involved in St. Mark's, you are welcome at any of our services on Sunday or during the week, or at any of our various organisations, groups and societies. "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched— this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ." (1 John 1:1-3) Those who have met Jesus, who have heard Him, who have seen Him, who have touched Him (Christians); we want to tell you about Him and His amazing love for you! But more than just telling, we want you to be a part of this fellowship, we want you to be in fellowship not only with the Church, but also (and more importantly) with Jesus Christ.
