Connah's Quay Town Council

Fron Road, Connahs Quay ,
Connah’s Quay is the largest town in Flintshire and has a rich and interesting past. The elected Town Council administers this lowest level of democratic management funded by a local precept. The Town Council is pleased to be able to support the local community with schemes which enhance and promote local health issues, economic and other projects and the well-being of the town’s inhabitants. There are 20 Councillors who are assisted by the Town Clerk and various support staff. Connah’s Quay Town Council administers the Civic Hall which is a popular venue for a wide variety of entertainments and fund-raising activities as well as business and family functions. There is a stage, a large ballroom floor, cafeteria and licensed bar and the Town Council’s in-house catering facilities are designed to suit clients’ individual requirements and budget. Self-catering is also possible, by arrangement. Off Fron Road lies the new Town Council Office suite encompassing a large and small room for hire, which are ideal for meetings, courses, seminars and even lectures as the facilities include a projector, IT link-up, internet access, audio and microphone equipment. There are the usual tea and coffee facilities as well as buffet lunches prepared by the nearby café. Adjacent in the Fron Road complex is the state of the art purpose built health centre rated as one of the best in Wales, which together with the adjoining pharmacy provides healthcare for the local population. The Quay Café located at the site has a growing reputation for excellent hot and cold food at very reasonable cost. The Community Centre situated off Tuscan Way, overlooking the Central Park cricket field is also a popular venue for local organisations and family functions.
