The aim of the gala committee (a voluntary group) is to continue to promote this event for the people of Colne and surrounding areas, whilst raising funds for charity. There is also a Gala Queen and Princess competition, with the winners invited to tour other local gala's in the promotion of Colne. The next Gala will take place on 14th June 2014, which will be the 55th anniversary. All funds are raised through sponsorship, donations and fundraising events with the assistance of local business's essential to the continuation of this traditional local event.
