The Toy Cupboard has twice weekly sessions. On Tuesdays during school term time it is held in the Undercroft at Glencruitten Church Centre, Glencruitten Road, Oban from 1.30pm until 3.30pm and on Fridays all year round in the Main Hall at the Centre from 10am until 12 noon. Annual membership is £3.00 for families and child minders and £10.00 for groups. £1 registration per family per session is now charged to assist with running costs. Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits available - small donation for supplies to be put in tub on tea table. There is a volunteer committee which meets regularly to organise fundraising. New committee members are always welcome.

Annual music and dance festival, offering special events and competitions in fiddle, accordion, chanter, piping, piano, woodwind, brass, recorder, singing, Scottish country dancing, highland dancing and choreography. Special events: The Highlands and Islands Fiddle and Accordion Masters - featuring prize-winning fiddle and accordion players from the main competition championships throughout Scotland. The Scottish Area Highland Dancing Finals - the culmination of the whole year’s competition circuit, featuring seventeen teams, and the only highland dancing team event to be held in the world! The Scottish Choreography Challenge - featuring two days of entertainment of the highest standard. Teams of dancers compete for prestigious prizes using innovative dance routines incorporating traditional highland dancing steps, sound and lighting effects, dazzling costume and scenery. Festival Parade - a fine spectacle, with a number of pipe bands marching through Oban for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. The Concert of Champions - presents winners from the competitions in a musical variety show of very high quality, followed by the Festival Fling, when competitors, family and friends dance into the wee small hours to a traditional Scottish dance band.
