Longridge Old Station Buildings are situated in the heart of Longridge, by the old Preston to Longridge Railway line, which operated from 1840 to 1967. Longridge Station houses the hugely popular Old Station Café, as well as a Heritage Centre, exhibition space and Workstation - our business support centre. We also maintain the Longridge Town Archive, which consists of photographs, sound recordings and documents which provide an insight into life in Longridge past. Longridge Old Station Buildings, Workstation and the Heritage Centre are managed by Longridge Social Enterprise Company.

PLHS Pipe Band is a newly registered Novice Juvenile pipe band made up of pupils from Preston Lodge High School.

Lying at the heart of our tranquil village - by the banks of the River Ribble and adjacent to St Wilfrid's Church - Ribchester Village Hall is a popular community location. The Hall is frequently used as an event venue or meeting place by community groups, schools, businesses and individuals; both locally and from the wider community. The Hall's facilities include a large main hall with stage, back room and kitchen. We have recently undertaken extensive Renovation work in the main hall as part of a larger, grant-funded improvement project.This project, when complete, will see all of our facilities upgraded and extended. Ribchester is an historic Lancashire village - located in the picturesque Ribble Valley and close to both Blackburn and Preston. We are best known for our Roman heritage and the famous Roman Museum, right next door to the Village Hall. But there's plenty more to see, learn and do around the village. Anyone is welcome to hire our hall - from just 1 hour to a full day; whether you're planning a regular session or a school trip (and you're simply looking for somewhere dry and warm for the children to have lunch). Simply contact us to check availability and prices. Please note: Very limited parking is available outside the Hall for elderley or disabled visitors. However, we recommend that all other visitors use the main village carpark (next to the recreation ground) to avoid congestion.
