The Awards evening will be held on Wednesday 24th October 2012. Every year, Neath Port Talbot CVS hold an awards evening to recognise the commitment of volunteers in Neath Port Talbot. Young people have received recognition for their volunteering at the awards, however two of the young people who received awards felt that a more young person friendly celebration was needed. From this, a group of young people came together to organise their own awards evening. They have come up with ten award categories covering a wide range of volunteering. The young people are keen to encourage businesses in the local community to become involved and are seeking sponsorship for each award and are also selling advertising space in their programme. The young people are taking the lead on the project and are being supported by staff from Neath Port Talbot CVS. Our key supporters for 2012 are Neath Port Talbot CVS and NPT 14-19 Learning Pathways. The evening has ten award categories each sponsored by an organisation. Our current sponsors are: Buffoon Film and Media, Careers Wales, Neath Chamber of Trade, Neath Market Traders Federation, Neath Port Talbot College, Nettie Bettie's Coffee Lounge, Neath Port Talbot CVS, Safer NPT Partnership.
