Leeds Met SU Events
Leeds Met Students Union has been and continues to be a pivotal part of the Leeds Music scene since 1970. Legendary acts that have graced The Stage include Nirvana, Bob Marley and the Wailers and The Buzzcocks, as well as modern day legends such as Elbow, Julian Casablancas and Glasvegas. These acts have all helped lay the foundations of what is now one of Leeds' most thriving and best loved music venues.
"The Stage" as it is known, is a lively and energetic venue in the heart of Leeds city centre which strives to provide an eclectic mix of live music for students and non-students alike in its 1100 capacity venue. This open music policy has seen a diverse calendar of shows going on throughout the year as well as popular club night FUEL which brings to you the best in Punk, Rock, Metal, Emo, and alternative party jams every Friday.
Linked into The Stage is Leeds Met’s friendly Students’ Union bar, The Met Bar. Food, drink and meeting place by day, club and gig venue by night. The Met Bar regularly plays host to smaller names and local unsigned talent in the intimate 450 capacity ‘Back Bar’ venue. This second room has held host to a number of now established acts such as Lightspeed Champion and Good Shoes.
