Buzzy Bees Nursery School is an independent nursery owned by 2 teachers Cathy Pritchard (B.A PGCE) and Lisa Owen (B.ed hons) ran by Leanne McCarthy and Jodie Wilks qualified Nursery Nurses to NVQ level 4 with a fully qualified team of nursery nurses qualified at NVQ level 3 all have a minimum of 7 years experience. The nursery is registered with Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and also as an Educational Provider with Estyn. Inspection reports are available upon request. In 2006 the nursery received the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark and in December 2007 we became one of the first nurseries in Wales to achieve the Baby Effective Early Learning Quality Assurance. We also follow the Foundation Phase Curriculum with planning and evidence available to view. We have close links with the local community due to our undertaking of the Welsh Assembly Governments Flying Start Initiative. This involves a Chatterbox team coming into Nursery, dental hygienists and Educational Pyschologists, whom we all work with. We have close links with Woodland Farm in Pantygasseg with children takiing regular trips to enjoy countryside walks, nature exploring and 'Horsey Fun' the nursery's partner business where the children are offered unique opportunities to grow close links to the animals and even ride ponies! Parents are always welcome. We will keep you fully informed and involved in your child's educational and social development. We send home diaries with a summary and photos of your childs day and always appreciate your ideas and suggestions. Welcome to Two Counties Nursery! The nursery is owned and managed by Sue and Rick Longford and has moved to new premises on the Highway in Croesyceiliog in March 2012. We have 48 places for children between 3 months and 5 years and the nursery is open between 8am and 6pm. Two Counties Nursery is the first day care nursery in Wales to become a Community Interest Company. The nursery is a 'not for profit' business so our fees are very competitive.
