Welcome to the Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village. Our three schools joined together in February 2011 and became an E-ACT Academy on April 1st 2012. Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village is an all-through academy for children of nursery age to nineteen. We believe that it is of immense benefit for young people to be able to move upwards through our academy rather than having to transfer to different schools as they become older as this is often associated with dips in achievement or unhappiness. However, we are delighted that many children continue to join us in Year 7 from around twenty other primary schools across the South West of Northamptonshire, as the quality of education at DSLV is widely recognised. Daventry is one of the largest music centres in the county. Every Saturday morning during term time almost 300 young people come to DSLV Academy to enjoy three and a half hours of a wide variety of musical activities.

We are a small but perfectly formed sixth form, catering for the Daventry area. We offer a broad range of A Level subjects, all at Level 3 in consortium with Danetre School in the town. We offer a close community, family atmosphere and academic mentoring for all students. The Students enjoy small class sizes and Ofsted said we were "Good" after only eight weeks of existence! We're getting better all the time and aim to be"outstanding" within three years.

DMC Rock School started as a few bands practising during Daventry Music Centre (DMC). DMC takes place during term-time on a Saturday Morning from 9:30 until 12:30. It was decided to give the musicians who enjoyed Rock music an opportunity to be given specialist advice and tuition on the various parts of a Rock Band. Currently workshops run each week on: Guitar Bass Drums Vocals There are two sections to the school, based upon the playing experience of the students. The Rock Stars are for those who are new to rock. The Rock Gods are for those who love to Rock. The format of a session is simple. Every two weeks the students get a new song. They spend two sessions being taught the song and practicing, and then the final session of the day is performing on stage as a band. Throughout the year there are ample opportunities to perform, in concerts, gigs and Battle of the Bands.
