The only specialist Sixth Form College in Hartlepool, who achieved the best exam results in Town again! Pass rate for 2011 is 99.6%, with a staggering 61 A Star grades across 15 subjects.

It acts as the student voice and provides a friendly service in a range of areas from personal to academic related support. As well as this we offer a range of exciting activities, fun social events via The Studio, interesting clubs and societies as well as representing student views to the wider college through elected officers. Lucy Bannister is our student's union sabbatical officer for 12/13, together with Chris Marsay and the other SU officers she will be taking an active role within college - so any issues, concerns, compliments etc please make them known! :)

The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College is an expanding 11-18 mixed voluntary aided Catholic High School which has an excellent reputation throughout the area. There are 1703 students on roll including 338 in our thriving Sixth Form. The school is oversubscribed every year. There are currently 130 full time equivalent members of the teaching staff and 68 members of the support staff. The school serves the entire Catholic community of Hartlepool and our catchment area encompasses the whole of Hartlepool LA. As a result we have a genuinely comprehensive intake which is one of the great strengths of the school. The school exists to educate students in the Catholic faith in the widest sense and is committed to represent Christian family values. Its primary aim recognises that it is a faith community, believing that each individual in it is on a pilgrimage of growth. As a Christian community the school tries to embody Gospel values of love, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation. Decisions concerning the curriculum and relationships will be based on these values. The Governors will expect applicants to contribute to the development and maintenance of this ethos.

Why should the kids have all the fun?? This choir offers the chance to sing your heart out in a relaxed and friendly enviroment. No experience or audition is required - enthusiasm is all I ask! Springboard Sunderland Trust started in December 1975 as a joint project between Community Service Volunteers (CSV) and Sunderland Borough Council Social Services Department. The original plan was to provide work experience and training for young people interested in a career in care under the Job Creation Programme. Since then Springboard has grown into a large and vibrant organisation with excellent premises, and facilities across the north east in Sunderland, South Tyneside, Peterlee and Hartlepool, where we organize training for people of all age groups and volunteering opportunities through Action Sunderland for 18-24 year olds. We also own and run Allenheads Lodge Activity Centre in Northumberland, where Springboard learners or members of the public can experience a variety of fun or development activities. We work closely with local employers to provide work experience and job opportunities for all our learners. At Springboard we create opportunities for people to achieve their educational, employment and personal goals. In 2003 more than 2300 people worked and volunteered with Springboard in the north east.
