School House Recruitment Ltd. was established by Claire Moore in 2010. Following many years working for a large national organisation, Claire strongly believed there was a gap in the market for an agency which provided schools and teachers with a personalised and bespoke service. After a very successful launch in the North East, we have opened an office in Sheffield which covers the South Yorkshire region. We were recently awarded Tees Valley Best New Business Award 2011, in the Service Sector.

AS/A2 FINE ART The majority of your work will be in 2D but will involve working with a wide range of materials, including mixed media. Students can work in any appropriate medium within their private study/sketch books. We believe strongly that working from life and acquiring skills from looking and responding provide the basis for creative development. Consequently the majority of the course is based on working with still life sets and the human figure. The course is challenging and requires the student to work independently away from the studio for a minimum of 3 hours a week, as well as regular studio attendance. AS/A2 TEXTILES The majority of your work will be created using Textile techniques and will involve working with a wide range of materials, including printing, dyeing fabrics, stitch, knit and weave. Students can work in any appropriate medium within their private study/sketch books. Consequently the majority of the course is based on learning textile techniques and applying them to your chosen pathway of fashion, interior design or furnishing/domestic textiles. The course is challenging and requires the student to work independently away from the studio for a minimum of 3 hours a week, as well as regular studio attendance. The AS Art and Design year consists of two units of work. The grade you gain at the end of the year represents half your final grade if you continue onto A2.
