Hello, and welcome to an insight of who I am and why I do the things I do. You can call me crazy ....but i’m one of the few people left that thrives of working in hospitality industry. The long hours, hard work, consistent high standard to please customers is second nature to me. Job satisfaction combined with my passion to bake and create cake art is what drive’s my ambitions. I have a long history in studying and working in the hospitality industry, as far back as I can remember. My qualifications include NVQ’S in Food Preparation and Service, and a Degree in Hospitality and Licensed Retail Industry. Collectively all my studies have assisted me to obtain the skills and knowledge to excel in the industry. My ever growing interest in the industry took me all over the world, working as a pastry chef in Manchester UK, New York USA and Sydney Australia. This gave me the fantastic opportunity to develop my hands on experience with the diverse cooking methods and techniques used in the different parts of the world. Now....I want to utilise my knowledge, experience and most of all intensifying passion into the world of cake. Founding...Cakes the Word, as my first cake decorating business based from home.
