Curiously Wicked was founded by Krystyna Dodds in 2009. Beginning as a small cake business, she then began to work with chocolate where she was determined to push the bounderies of what the market could offer at the time. Her idea was to create edible art that was interesting, exciting and delicious. Coming from an eastern European background, she introduced subtle and unusual blends of flavours for all of her customers to enjoy and now, after winning top awards that placed Curiously Wicked shoulder to shoulder with leading chocolatiers around the globe, the company has become one of the leading artisan chocolatiers in England. The first shop was opened in Nov 2011 and currently has four extremely talented chocolatiers (all family members!) whom she has trained personally. And, the Curiously Wicked family is expanding constantly; with many regular local customers, as well as foreign tourists becoming members. Each can be seen entertained regularly by the fascinating displays and the different selections of goodies on offer. So what are you waiting for? Come and see it for yourself!

Morpeth has its own French artisan bakery! French flour, French ovens and British creativity. Steve Boanas is Castle Bakery. He has over 20 years professional experience as a baker and is committed to producing the best bread and patisserie. Fabulous French breads, pastries and melt-in-the-mouth croissants made with experience, flare and fire by a master baker. We are always creating new speciality breads with ingredients such as tomato, herbs, olives and cheese. But if you really want a memorable moment you must have one or even two of our custard or custard and almond pastries. Look for us at the Morpeth Market every Wednesday or come up and see us at the bakery past the station at Coopies Field. You can also find us at the Tynemouth market every Saturday and Sunday and every Sunday at the Quayside Market between 09.00am to 4.00pm

We raise free range, organic poultry in as a natural environment as possible. They live in large insulated huts and we let them out every morning where they have access to grass and herbs in large pastures. At night they roost in the huts to keep them warm and safe. They have ad lib feed and water. The ducks have their own mobile ponds so that they may wash and preen themselves.
