My name is Jill Wilson, I studied Physiotherapy at Manchester University and qualified in 2004. Over the past 10 years I have worked in NHS, Private Practice and numerous sports clubs including Preston North End F.C and England Hockey. In addition to BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, I also have BSc (Hons) Sports Science and Acupuncture and Sports Massage qualifications. I have chartered Status and am registered with The Health Professional Council. My clinic will carry out assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Physiotherapy can be used to treat a range of problems such as; acute and chronic soft tissue injuries, back pain, joint pain, arthritis, whiplash, neurological conditions and work related injuries. Treatments include: mobilisation, manipulation, massage, electrotherapy, acupuncture, taping, trigger point release, exercise rehabilitation and postural re-alignment. Sports Massage: The prime purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. Above all, it can help prevent those niggling injuries. Sports massage tends to be deep and intense.
