About Me I am an Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework. Accredited BACP members have undergone a rigorous process of accreditation and are therefore competent practitioners which is in my interest & maintains standards for you. I am also registered by UKRCP, (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). As a counsellor/Psychotherapist, I cover a wide range of difficulties. I am experienced working with young people & adults. I offer a supporting hand in stressful situations, & would like to help make life more tolerable for you. I started training as a counsellor in 2000. I have come to the end of my training as a Psychotherapist with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute and from there will aim to get Membership of (UKCP) United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists. It can help you come to a place of understanding, acceptance or change if that is what you are hoping to achieve. Training & Qualifications I have a Diploma in Counselling which I did at Birmingham Counselling Centre. I have 9 years experience of working with clients in several different organisations and privately. I am BACP Accredited & UKRCP Registered. I.Have completed the training of a Post Graduate Diploma level 7 in Psychotherapy. I have worked with students who themselves are training as counsellors. I have worked with people with learning difficulties, disabilities and long-term/life threatening illness. I also have a Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision. so can offer supervision and am currently doing a Post Graduate Diploma in Supervision which will be complete in June 2012.
