Our Dentists We have 5 dentists: Dr Desmond O'Hanlon: the principal dentist, bracework specialist and practice owner, qualified in 1991 from Dundee University Mrs Shiviani Bhatia: sedation specialist, qualified in 2003 from Glasgow University Dr Sara Ferreira: qualified in 2009 from Lisbon University, Portugal Dr Nikos Mitropoulos: qualified in 2006 from Athens university, Greece Dr Antigoni Mitsioni: qualified in 2006 from Athens University, Greece Our Dental Hygienist Mrs Karen Stainton: qualified in 1988 from Edinburgh Dental Hospital Our Dental Care Professionals Our Practice Manager is Mrs Allison Whitlie who is also a qualified, registered dental nurse. The practice has 6 other registered dental nurses: Lynne Dandy; Rachel Connelly, Aimee Laurence; Hannah Cameron and Kimberley Vaide. We also have 3 trainee dental nurses: Melanie Barclay and Shaunagh Fraser, Leeanne McGarry. Office and Administrative Support Office and administrative support is provided by Gillian McNeill, Administrative Assistant and our receptionists: Mary Hadwen, Jeanette McArdle, Tiffany Gibb. Emergency care (out of hours and public holidays) is provided by Chalmers Street Dental Centre, Edinburgh: telephone 0131 536 4800.
