Mallards Interiors
I started in the soft furnishing trade in 1968. I was taught in London and worked there for 20 years. Working from there, I supplied and fitted blinds and soft furnishings to leading London designers, major hotels, breweries, airlines, shipping lines, stage and theatre companies and private country houses.
I was trained by Silent Gliss, Kirsh (now known as Integra ) and Swish. I was also taught curtain making by the C. Dobinson Group of companies and completed a City and Guilds Upholstery and Art & Design Course at Hastings College.
I moved to East Sussex in 1989, where I founded Mallards Interiors.
Mallards Interiors’ recent contracts include, CR Projects, Warner Fabrics (Zimmer & Rohde), leading designers, private country houses, health centres, local colleges and Bexhill Museum. This has included a diverse range of work such as dim-out blinds for an Education Room, barber’s chairs, bar stalls, caravan seating and a sweet stall’s canopy and frill as well as curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.
I am also skilled at various other trades including decorating, various aspects of DIY, and gardening.
