Salters Shepherd Hut
Set in the heart of the beautiful South Downs National Park, our shepherd hut is only an hour and a half from London. With spectacular views of the Downs and overlooking a local vineyard there is access by foot to the famous South Downs Way Trail, making it an ideal place to start exploring miles of footpaths and bridleways. The market towns of Midhurst, Petworth and Arundel are on your doorstep.
The hut is handmade by furniture makers John Knuckey and Jane Snow. So the detail and finish is of an exceptionally high standard. Cedar clad with bespoke oak interior and furnished with items from their accessories woodwork collection.
Salters Shepherd Hut sleeps two people in a double bed and is heated with a delightful little wood burning stove. It also has electricity, so whether you want to make a start on that novel, or simply escape the rat race for a while this is the perfect spot. Light suppers and picnics can also be ordered in advance.
