Durham Cathedral Library contains over 70,000 volumes dating from the 6th Century to the present day. It is made up of two collections:
• Sharp; a modern collection supporting mainly university students and academic readers interested in Theology.
• Chapter; modern and historic collections supporting a variety of topics, including; theology, history, travel, music, art, classics. This collection also houses our historic collections (over 300 manuscripts survive at Durham).
