Solihull Central Library is the flagship library for the borough and is a focal point for a range of information including events, Council services, learning and work, business information, local and family history. There are over 40 computers available. We have the widest range of books to borrow and refer to including Community Language material, talking books and music scores. You can also hire film, music and special interest DVDs, language courses and music CDs.

Dickens Heath is a library with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We provide a wide range of adult and children's books and DVDs. There are ten computers with free internet access and email. Photocopying and fax facilities are also available. We have a meeting room for hire. Regular storytime and Rhymetime sessions for the under fives are provided.

Olton Library is a modern building and its staff aim to provide a welcoming and attractive environment for customers. There are 6 computers providing free Internet access, office packages and email. There is a dedicated children's area, books for teenagers, wide range of adult fiction and non-fiction, loan collections of spoken word and jigsaws, photocopier and a drinks machine. There is a meeting room, which can be hired for community and commercial use and is used by local councillors for monthly surgeries. Regular events throughout the year are Under 5s storytime sessions, Reader's Circle and Poetry Group.

The library is located within Chester House, a 16th Century Elizabethan town house, parts of which date back to 1400, Enhanced by a knot Garden created by Solihull council in 1989 Which has regularly been judged as part of Solihull's 'Britain in Bloom'. The library aims to offer a wide range of books and resources, including a dedicated children's area with craft and story time sessions running throughout the year. Regular events also take place and the library is also host to Knowle Society Local History Centre.
