Bramhall North 75 JFC
Bramhall North 75 was formed on the Parkside estate in Bramhall in 1975, most of the founder members are no longer with us but they are still fondly remembered by old players and officials. The most remembered founder was the genial Harry Wright, who up to his death was president of the club. At the same time as Harry was a cockney import called Fred Cane who weighed in at a mere seven stone soaking wet. He and Harry created and moulded the club from a single team to the eighteen we run today. The club is famous for its annual soccer school, held every August at Neville Rd School, at which Manchester City coaches give boys aged six to fourteen the week of their lives.
Although the club is not renowned for a plethora of trophies, (we believe in giving a game of football to as many lads as possible, irrespective of their ability) we probably had one of the best teams ever in the eighties. It contained many lads who made football pay including Paul Bernard who played for Oldham Athletic and Scotland
Football has seen many changes over the years but at Bramhall North its values and standards are still the same and although Fred has given up the mantle of secretary, he can still be found at all the clubs meetings and functions in his new role as President.
