Rusin Lodge has been descibed as having a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Visitors are provided with keys to allow free access throughout the day and all of our rooms are large, light and airy. Great care has been taken to retain the period feel of this late Victorian home. Ruskin lodge is a few minutes walk from Freshwater Bay and the Tennyson Trail, which is extremely popular with walkers and cyclists who admire the stunning views across the Isle of Wight. We offer a large choice of breakfasts; from cooked to continental, and cater for those with special dietry requirements. Alternative breakfasts, such as eggs benedict, kippers, etc, can be provided upon request.

Island Sweet Dreams is a traditional wooden sweet cart available for hire for all types of event, including, weddings, christenings, baby showers, children's/adults parties, school proms/fetes, leaver's parties and charity events. You name it and we can cater for it. We are based in the West of the Isle of Wight however, we offer an Islandwide service. Our company have taken the popcorn and candy floss business over from Wight Choice so we are able to offer a more complete package! We are currently having a custom made cart built by a local Isle of Wight carpenter, to a very high standard. The new cart will have a 'built in' popcorn and candy floss machine - perfect for that special occasion! We also have a smaller sweet cart available specifically designed for children's parties. Our larger sweet carts are perfect for weddings and larger events. There are a variety of ways you can hire from Island Sweet Dreams, our carts can be hired on their own or with a choice of sweets, popcorn and candy floss put into ribboned glass bowls. There are many different sweets to choose from including 'retro' sweets such as flying saucers, fruit salads, blackjacks and rhubarb & custard, to name but a few, as well as many 'modern day' sweets. If you have a favourite sweet that is not on our list then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to supply them for you. Why choose Island Sweet Dreams? Well that's simple, we work alongside Wight Choice Balloons weddings and events who offer great value balloons, individual boxed balloons, elaborate balloon centrepieces and archways. They also hire wedding seat covers, tablecloths, table decorations and create personalised wedding invites and table plans.
