Chapel View Cottage

Queen Street, Haworth ,
The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere and all this against a backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby the famous Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film ‘The Railway Children’, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester. "Chapel View Cottage" is a delightful, stone-built, mid-terrace cottage situated in a quiet corner of the famous village of Haworth, ten miles from Skipton. This first class Haworth cottage enjoys an enviable central location just a two minute walk from the famous high street and the many attractions of this lovely village. Set out over three floors, this Haworth cottage has been thoughtfully converted to provide superb facilities, yet it still retains the immense character and charm of the original dwelling. Modern styling and elegant furnishings are evident throughout this Haworth cottage, which features a lovely first floor sitting room with cosy woodburner, a delightful bedroom and modern bathroom and a stylish ground floor kitchen with dining area. This Haworth cottage is in a fabulous location for a romantic break, with excellent restaurants, cafes and good old fashioned, traditional pubs on the doorstep. Steeped in literary history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters, Haworth has much to offer including a variety of walks, allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of Catherine and Heathcliff by wandering the fantastic rugged moorland. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum. A wonderful Haworth holiday cottage, perfect for a small family or a romantic getaway.
