Nests is a therapeutic children’s home which provides long-term specialised residential placements for children aged between 6-12 on admission and who have complex emotional needs. Children receive an individualised therapeutic care plan which incorporates life story work and therapeutic play. This is overseen by a skilled team of practitioners with clinical oversight provided by a consultant psychotherapist.
The management team have over 10 years experience of therapeutic care in the public sector and have previously managed a national therapeutic resource in the north east region. The home operates a milieu approach to the therapeutic task for up to 3 children.
