Scarborough Museums Trust
We are an independent charitable trust set up in 2008 to manage the Rotunda, the William Smith Museum of Geology, Scarborough Art Gallery and Scarborough Collections (Events and Collections based at Woodend) and finally the popular Dinosaur Coast activities which take place at various venues along the coast.
Whilst a large proportion of the Trusts funding comes from Scarborough Borough Council; we are dependent on the income from admissions and from other charitable donations to carry out the work we do, preserving Scarborough's heritage for future generations.
A large part of our work is engaging with local schools, providing a trusted learning resource to help both teachers and children bring learning to life through the Geological, Historical and Art Collections we manage.
