I have been messing around taking photographs since I was about 16, always keen to be the one behind the camera and not in-front of it. Going to art school to do media studies my interest soon developed into something I wished I could do for a living. But my interest in other areas of media also developed and after leaving university in 2004 I went into the graphic design industry to work as a web designer and developer. My interest has sparked back up again in the past couple of years with the purchase of a Digital SLR. Coming from a film photography background I have always tried to keep my work as pure as possible, and try to capture the image as I see it, and aim to get it right first time to remove the need for computer manipulation. This is done through the careful planning of every shot and a whole myriad of filters I can bolt to the front of my camera. Although an extended hobby photography is slowly becoming a big part of my life again giving me the opportunity to remove myself from the day to day stress and explore the countryside to bring my perceptions of this lovely country to others.
