Rehearsing at The Farm Studios At The Farm Studios we offer multiple large rehearsal studios for live musicians and bands available 7 days a week. Rooms Each of our rooms are large enough to cater comfortably for today's bands being at least 250 sq ft in size - there's even space for a sofa in every room! Drinks are allowed in the rehearsal rooms - we only ask that you use the bins provided! Smoking, however, is not permitted in the rooms. We also boast a specialised stage room. This large room is unique to The Farm Studios offering a large raised stage area and PA with fold-back. The overall size of the room is 600 sq ft incorporating a 20ft x 12ft stage. It allows bands to get a real feel for playing their sets in a live gig environment as if they were up on the stage. All of our rooms are sound absorbant with no hard surfaces, so as to avoid the impact of ear splitting high frequencies - helping you get the best from your instruments and rehearsal time. Equipment Each room is equipped with it's own high powered PA system to which you are welcome to plug your own microphones into. Don't worry if you don't have your own though, at The Farm Studios we can supply all the mics and stands you need at no extra cost! Backline including drums and amps/cabinets are also available for hire during your rehearsal time. Equipment hire is charged at £6 per item. Availability and Prices Our rooms are available from £35 per session, 7 days a week for a 4 hour time slot. Someone is usually here from 6:30pm so you are welcome to arrive early, unpack and set up allowing you to get your full 4 hour rehearsal session Recording at The Farm Studios The Farm Studios offer analogue/digital (analogue mixing desk to digital recorder for what we consider to be a very warm sound) recording facilities for vocal, solo instruments or full band recording. We can record your music in the multitrack method, layer by layer, and we also cater for full band live recordings. We welcome any level of band/musician so whether you're recording a professional album, jingle, demo or just doing it for fun you'll be welcome at The Farm Studios. We have a sound engineer available for your session so just arrive, play your stuff and let us worry about the rest! Recording format At the farm we will record you using our Mackie mixing desk straight into a 24 track digital recorder. We are fully equipped to complete the mixdown for you too with a fine selection of our favourite modern and classic reverbs, delays and other little goodies. When complete you can take the finished product away on the day in CD format. We can also arrange for large quantity CD duplication of your tracks if required. Recording prices Recording prices are charged at just £20 per hour or £150 for a full days (8 hours) recording.
