Hotwells and Cliftonwood - Bristol - (UK)
Hotwells encompasses an area around the western end of the Historic Bristol Harbour, and includes a mix of old and newly-built properties, including the popular Harbour itself which is home to the restored "SS Great Britain" and the replica of the "Matthew".
At one time the Harbour was a busy port for Merchant Shipping, but nowadays it is full of recreational craft, with lots of water-based activities going on, even on the bleakest of wintry days. The hardy rowers and dinghy-sailors are always out, as are the cheery Ferry-boats.
Cliftonwood is mainly a residential area of terraced Victorian housing, with just one Pub! Many of the properties there have grand views over the Harbour to the south, or Brandon Hill to the east.
