Pukka Pet Products is a family owned business based in South Wales, UK.
Although the Pukka Pet name and websites are quite recent, the owners started out way back in 1994, originally operating as a mobile pet supplies and then moving into bricks and mortar pet stores offering a wide range of pet products including cat, dog, bird, small animal, aquarium and reptile supplies.
Very early on in the history of the internet and back in the days of super slow dial-up modems, the owners developed two online pet stores. One website concentrated on general pet products such as cat flaps, dog carriers, small animal cages and accessories etc. and the other focused on birds, including parrot cages, bird cages, bird foods, toys and accessories.
All these businesses proved a great success and the owners sold the businesses in 2004 to concentrate on other internet ventures whilst keeping close contact with the pet trade.
Being pet lovers and with a wealth of experience going back over 16 years in the pet trade, the owners have launched PukkaPet.co.uk, PukkaParrot.co.uk and coming soon PukkaReptile.co.uk to provide pet owners throughout the UK and farther afield with all the products they need to keep their pets happy and healthy.
Since our first ventures into retailing pet products via the internet, we realise there's many more companies now competing for your custom than the early days when we first started out.
