Languageuk
We can offer general English courses at all levels, examination courses including the FCE, CAE and IELTS, academci pre-university courses, business courses, private individual classes, work experience and year - long courses for under-graduates and post graduates. During the summer months we also offer family English. Information about all our courses can be seen on our website under"course".
For long term students, we also offer assistance with university or college application forms and interviews. In the last couple of years, a number of our EU students have gone onto college after studying with us to an advanced level and students from non-EU countries have gone to to do post graduate degree courses.
Our teachers:
All our teachers have either years of experience or have post-graduate qualifications to teach English as a second language. Qualifications include: DELTA/DIPTEFL (post graduate TEFL certificate), Masters in TEFL or other related subjects.
We are a small school, taking up to a maximum of 40 students at any one time. We take no more than 8 students per class unlike the larger institutes that will take up to 12/14 in a class. We have been accredited by the British Council and we are active members of English UK.
Languageuk is not far from Dover - 40 minutes or the Eurostar in Ashford - 45 minutes and the London airports are all about 1.5 to 2.5 hours away depending on which airport. Languageuk is based in Broadstairs, which is a Victorian seaside town based in the South East Coast and is a very pleasant place to visit. We have lots of interesting sites. Bikes are available to hire locally and there is a local gym that offers our students a special price for short term membership. Broadstairs is a very friendly town, surrounded by beautiful beaches and typical Kent countryside. It has a number of shops, restaurants and privately owned coffee bars on the high street. We have a local cinema and many pubs! The town is also home to a large shopping mall, mulit-screen cinema and casino is 10 minutes by car or bus. Throughout the year but particularly during the summer, we have a number of festivals and events taking place on the beaches in the area. There's lots to do here and it is a great place to live.
Our nearest city is Canterbury (about 20 minutes) which is famous for the Catherdral. We have Dover Castle which is just an hour away and London is about 1.10 hours away on the fast train and is easily accessible for a day trip.
