TASIS The American School in England is a leading independent, co-educational university and college preparatory school located just outside London in the UK. Enrolling American and international day students in nursery school through grade 12, and boarding students in grades 9 through 12, TASIS also offers a postgraduate option. The Society was formed in the hope of promoting and nurturing the creative talents of Royal Holloway. OUR PRIMARY AIM IS: To promote Royal Holloway University through the medium of film by showcasing RHUL’s student talent on the film festival stage. OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: • To produce good quality films involving all of Royal Holloway’s creative departments and societies getting Royal Holloway’s name know in the creative industry. • To build creative experience and portfolios worthy of getting a job after University. We will create filmmakers, actors, and musicians. • To get students out networking at courses and events in London and the rest of the country, while at the same time networking with the creative talent at Royal Holloway. • Allow students to create their own experience and portfolios • To launch our own film festival and participate in as many film festivals as possible, either entering films or as a group volunteeringI have outlined what our aims and objectives are for the first few years of production. The Royal Holloway Film Festival Society is rather hard to explain because its not just about filmmaking and taking part in festivals, it’s about networking, learning new skills from each other, making our own experience and portfolios that will help you stand out in the creative industry and much much more!
