The latest visit from Ofsted (who inspect schools) was in 2009 and judged us to be a good school. Key messages from the inspectors' main findings included:
The quality of care, guidance and support that is provided for students is outstanding.
The school has gone from strength to strength.
A typical comment from a student demonstrates the excellent relationships and the very inclusive ethos in school. The student said, "My class is like a family: we all get on well with everyone."
Behaviour is good both in lessons and around school.
Students are understandably proud of their school and make a good contribution to the school community.
Results were above average by all measures, with an above average proportion of students gaining five or more higher grades, including with English and mathematics.
Students achieve well because of good teaching combined with a good curriculum.
The quality of emotional and academic support for students whose circumstances cause them to be vulnerable, including those with special education needs and disabilities, is exceptional.
