About a month ago I decided to apply for a start-up loan so I could open my own clothes shop (something I've wanted to do forever!), I contacted Foundation East and they were very helpful and made things really easy for me. I was assigned a mentor who helped me to write my business plan and calculate my sales forecast, the plan was sent off and in 24 hours I had the answer! 'Yes, we will lend you £8000 to get your business started!' That was two weeks ago, since then I have been planning and getting a shop sorted. It's all a bit much to take in at the moment but I am excited! I would definitely recommend that if anyone under the age of 30 wants to set up a business, just go for it! What have you got to lose! :-)
