Located near the picturesque village of Timperley, our garden centre started life as Clyburns Rose Nursery in 1957. In 1975, the nursery was purchased by Peter Yates who redeveloped the nursery into a successful garden centre, and 'Yates Garden Centre' became the name renound for quality garden products in the local area. After 21 successful years, Wyevale acquired the centre in 1996, and following the re-branding of our centre the 'Altrincham Garden Centre' we have today is a truly local garden centre. Many of our staff have been with us throughout the years, in fact our Plant Manager now has 23 years of service. We have a fantastic range of top quality plants, many of which are grown locally or nationally and we always try to buy the 'Best of British' whenever we can. To complement our plants we have a great range of gardening products, furniture, books, in fact everything you could think of for your garden. Our restaurant, with an adjoining conservatory, is the perfect place to meet friends, bring the family and enjoy a tasty home-cooked meal or just relax and have a coffee. Our children's play area is proving to be a massive hit with our younger customers! World of Pets and Leisure is located in Timperley, Altrincham in the Greater Manchester Borough of Trafford. As the name suggests, we specialise in pet food and accessories for a whole variety of pets including cats, dogs, small furry animals, chickens, horses and reptiles. The centre stocks a variety of well-known high quality natural and hypoallergenic pet brands such as James Wellbeloved, Burns and Arden Grange. We’re one of the only places in the area where frozen raw food can be purchased which is one of the healthiest pet foods available. All the staff can offer nutritional and general pet advice as well as allowing you to bring your pet along to be weighed. There’s a great range of accessories as well as lovely gifts for pets and proud owners! The centre is set in seven acres of green belt land. It began life as Warburton’s a family Garden Centre which is now World of Water and a traditional nursery specialising in bedding plants and hanging baskets which is now World of Pets. There is a World of Water franchise offering water gardening equipment, they have a tropical fish department and offer fishing supplies and equipment, and a farmers' market held on the 1st Sunday of every month along with a pet photographer and a permanent dog groomer in centre.
