Who will do the massage?
- Your massage will be given by Emily-Jayne Costello a qualified Level 3 Holistic Massage Therapist using Swedish Massage techniques. The massages can be tailored to your individual needs and this can be discussed during the consultation process.
Where will my massage take place?
- Your treatment will take place in our warm, calm relaxation room above George's Hair Salon in Dereham. Soft music will be played to help you relax and you will lie on a table specially designed for your comfort.
What are the benefits of massage?
- Massage can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
How will I feel after a massage?
- Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.
Why the name Esther Therapies?
- We've taken our name from the story of 'Esther' from the Old Testament of the Bible. It was written around 450-300BC and is about a young girl trafficked away from her family to meet and impress a King. She is naturally beautiful but spent 100 days receiving beauty treatments and being pampered. When they did finally meet, the King fell in love with Esther and made her his Queen and from there, Esther saved a whole nation. Esther was a simple ordinary girl and yet went on to achieve something very extra-ordinary, all from being lovingly pampered. We hope to do the same for you.
