You can come and play on our huge 4 level play frame. There are tubes slides, bumpy slides, crawl tubes, ball cannons, rope bridges, spider webs, dangly snakes, gliders, scramble nets, ball pools, log ramps, punch bags, edu blocks and so much more including a specially dedicated area for the under 3’s to enjoy. Even the grown ups can join in the fun as the play frame is designed for adults to enjoy to.

The club was founded in 1904 as Pilton Yeo Vale, and were founder members of the North Devon League, at the end of our first season the club changed to their current name. We then spent time in the Devon & Exeter League, and then the South Western League. After the Second World war the club joined the Western League in 1948 – the first North Devon club to do so and won the Western League Division Two title in the 1949–50 season under the management of Arthur Coles. Three seasons later the club achieved the double of winning the Western League and the Devon Professional Cup. The club then had to wait until 1979–80 before winning the Western League again, this time under joint managers Brian Hill and Dave Baglow. The club remained in the top division until it was relegated at the end of the 1989/90. Brian Hill was appointed manager again and got the Barum back into the top division after three seasons winning the First Division Championship in 1993/94.

The Tower is a 7.5m high climbing wall built inside the recently renovated tower of Trinity Church. It has different routes ranging from really easy to extremely challenging (Grades 3-6a+) It is located just a 5 minute walk away from Barnstaple town centre. The wall is open to both small and large groups, and there is currently an open session that happens on Sunday evenings.

We have a fully equipped modern gym along with a wide variety of classes. Our friendly and professional approach will help you achieve your goals, and you will have fun too! We have a full range of cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines and a free weights area. There are also 2 dedicated dance/fitness studios where all our classes are held.

We teach all ages and abilities in pools over Devon and are the leading swimschool in North Devon. We were the first to offer specialist baby lessons in the South West of England. Our water based teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Classes are small with many having assistants. Our company founder, Lisa Bousted is a tutor for the Swimming Teachers Association (STA), was on their education committee, has been a UK baby swim expert for them and Huggies SwimPant involved in a National media campaign. She was also head coach in Beijing, China helping the STA develop swimming for the under 5's. She has many aquatic related qualifications including from the ASA, RLSS, ISRM and Austswim in Australia. We are members of the World Aquatic Baby Congress and have attended conferences and presented around the world. Instructor Mitch Simpson has been participating in Martial Arts for 38 years and has extensive training in 9 styles. He teaches in a fun and exciting manner but also has traditional values at the heart of his teaching.
