Wycombe Wanderers Sport & Education Trust
Wycombe Wanderers FC first had an active role within the community in the early 1990s as a Football in the Community programme was developed with its main focus on using the sport as a way of increasing football participation whilst also promoting the club.
In 2008 a registered charity was created ‘Wycombe Wanderers Community Trust’ (Charity No: 1119794) and due to the growth in the pillars of delivery we now employ 15 full-time members of staff with over 50 sessional staff. We currently operate programmes in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire areas and in recent years we have engaged with over 170,000 community members per annum, the highest in the Football League in 2010.
Our main areas of delivery are in sports participation, education, health, social inclusion and elite performance. We also engage with the local community schools and clubs on a match day. Our wide range of diverse projects demonstrates we are now a well-rounded provider in many sectors, creating partnerships to develop and enhance community participation, engagement and cohesion.
