ILFRACOMBE is well known as a Victorian seaside town but the Yacht Club was only formed in 1962 by a small group of like-minded individuals, to promote the art of sailing and motor cruising in the Bristol Channel. IYC offers a full program of sailing and social events for members and non-members, locals or visitors to the area, and you are assured of a warm welcome whether arriving by land or by sea!

We are a 33.3m swimming pool in Ilfracombe with a Sauna facility. We cater for swimmers and have a disabled hoist for those who have difficulty getting in and out of the pool. We have a wide range of users including schools, swimming clubs and surf lifesaving clubs. Also we offer a wide range of Aquazone swimming lesson starting at 3 years old and ranging right through to Adult begginer and improver lessons. There are also other water based activities such as Aqua aerobics and pool partys available so please come and pay us a visit! It now provides a fully equipped gym, male and female changing rooms with shower facilities, a sun shower and 2 superb studios with sprung oak floor, training mirrors and fantastic natural light.
