Do you lack confidence in your appearance? Wish you could exercise more but don't have the confidence to join a gym or go to classes? I am offering good old style Hi/Lo aerobics, specifically for women who may be lacking in confidence. I want to create a ‘safe haven’ for women, who are not confident in their appearance, to be able to come and workout. We all know that exercise can help you lose weight, improve the way you feel and generally is essential for a healthy lifestyle. I know from personal experience that the way I look and/or feel about myself is a barrier to me accessing mainstream facilities and classes. How many times have you thought that you will go to the gym or join that class when you are thinner! I am the same. This class is not just for plus size women, as I don’t want to discriminate, after all when you come and lose weight I don’t want you to then not be able to come! I understand that some people just have a mentality where they about what they look like or just don’t have the confidence to go and join a health club or walk into a new class. Perhaps you just simply, prefer a good old style aerobics class like we used to do!! I fully realise all of the confidence issues that women can face and, for those of us that are lacking in it, I want to provide a fun, unintimidating, supportive environment that provides appropriate motivation suitable for all abilities, without the worry of how we look. No mirrors or lycra here!!! I have friends who teach other classes, and having been an instructor for 15 years, I know that all the other local classes are full of all shapes and sizes and welcome anyone, regardless of their appearance or fitness levels, but I also understand that when you are lacking in confidence your head can make anywhere too daunting to go. I aim to provide a fun hi/lo aerobics class which we can all do together, grow in confidence, have a laugh and in getting fitter together we can become more positive together.
