Littlehampton Badminton and Squash Club
Littlehampton Badminton & Squash Club has been in the town for over 75 years, offering members the opportunity to enjoy a range of sports and social activities. The main sports have been badminton and squash, but more recently table tennis has become popular with day-time members.
In addition, the Club has carpet bowls, a pool table, table football and darts available for members in the lounge and bar areas.
In the last five years, the Club has, with the support of Badminton England, achieved major investment from Sport England, to enable the rebuilding of the badminton hall to make it one of the best in south-east England. We have also refurbished our squash courts and have plans to add heating to two of the courts to enhance play through the winter.
The Club encourages members to play both socially and in teams, which compete in local leagues. There are regular club nights and morning clubs for all abilities to enjoy their games.
The Club has worked with Badminton England to achieve “Clubmark†Premier Club status, and has plans to follow a similar route with England Squash & Racketball. We are the centre for the Community Badminton Network, promoted by Badminton England, which aims to get more people playing the game.
