The trip takes twelve weeks to circumnavigate Britain, stopping at sixty beautiful ports on the way and giving you the chance to explore the breath taking scenery and culture Britain has to offer. At the same time it can provide all qualifications up to Yachtmaster which can be taken as an exam with the RYA at the end of the trip. Whilst not everyone will want to do this it is a fast track to a professional qualification in the marine industry. In past years the trip has attracted a wide range of people with various reasons for taking part in The Round Britain Experience, some to take a long holiday with their partners, others for a career change and for complete novices to gain qualifications up to Yachtmaster with the help and guidance from our experienced instructors. We run two of these trips each year starting in April and July. There are only a maximum of four people on each trip, this results in a substantial amount of instruction on a personal basis and the opportunity to have your own private cabin two of which are en-suite. We use a different instructor for each leg of the trip in order to show you numerous sailing techniques and skills. It will give you a varied approach to each task and the skills to operate a yacht safely either for commercial or pleasure use. The boat is a year old Bavaria 45 which provides ample space and safe sailing in difficult conditions. The Price of £8,900 for the full twelve weeks includes all Berthing fees, Mooring fees, Fuel, Food and drink onboard, accommodation on the boat and RYA Qualifications gained on the trip. We offer an attractive 50% discount for a person when sharing a cabin. We may have availability on the trip a couple of months before each circumnavigation is to commence and do offer 2 week legs of the RBE at attractive rates.
