Bassingbourn Snowsports Centre has been located inside Bassingbourn Barracks since the late 1960’s and is a Not for Profit Organisation being run by volunteers who have a passion for all snowsports. We’re open all year round. The Centre has two artificial slopes with the longest being 100 metres in length which was recently refurbished and has a button drag lift. Over the last two years volunteers have renovated the ski lodge to include a superb equipment room with new Salomon skis and boots, new toilet facilities including a disabled toilet, dedicated function room for corporate events and birthday parties and an attractive members’ lounge all in keeping with the ski lodge image. As well as skiing or snowboarding, we can arrange tobogganing sessions for birthday parties, youth groups or parties or corporate events for adults.

We believe that every minute spent actively in the fresh air, away from tv-screens and computers, heightens our environmental sensitivity, mental health and physical wellbeing. Our wood-fired barrel saunas and hot tubs made from Western Red Cedar & Stainless steel in the UK and are available for hire and sale. Bathing under the Sky is not only about relaxing in hot water. Preparing the Tub is part of the involvement and part of the build-up to the experience. The build-up can be spread over a whole day and can occupy the entire family.
