Edinburgh Business School is the Graduate School of Business of Heriot-Watt University (est. 1821), Edinburgh, Scotland. Heriot-Watt University is the eighth oldest higher educational institution in the UK, and awards degrees by Royal Charter. There are currently over 10,300 active students studying Edinburgh Business School programmes and more than 14,300 graduates across 150 countries worldwide.ProgrammesThe School offers a range of postgraduate programmes including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, the largest international programme of its kind in the world according to Financial Times' 2012 Online MBA listing. The MBA is offered on-campus and by distance learning, and all subjects are assessed by written examinations.All 7 core courses are available in Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Spanish, with 3 of the elective courses available in Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. In addition, 2 elective courses are available in Russian, with one further elective course to be available in Russian by the end of 2012.Examinations are run in over 360 centres around the world, each June and December.A Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme was introduced in 2003 and currently has 60 students pursuing their DBA research with guidance from a mentor or supervisor. Various Master of Science (MSc) degrees in a number of specialisms are also available at the School.
