We have about 1300 students across 6 years, and at least the same number of teachers, some in the University and the rest across hospitals and GP practices in South East Scotland.

Edinburgh Business School is the Graduate School of Business of Heriot-Watt University (est. 1821), Edinburgh, Scotland. Heriot-Watt University is the eighth oldest higher educational institution in the UK, and awards degrees by Royal Charter. There are currently over 10,300 active students studying Edinburgh Business School programmes and more than 14,300 graduates across 150 countries worldwide.ProgrammesThe School offers a range of postgraduate programmes including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, the largest international programme of its kind in the world according to Financial Times' 2012 Online MBA listing. The MBA is offered on-campus and by distance learning, and all subjects are assessed by written examinations.All 7 core courses are available in Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Spanish, with 3 of the elective courses available in Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. In addition, 2 elective courses are available in Russian, with one further elective course to be available in Russian by the end of 2012.Examinations are run in over 360 centres around the world, each June and December.A Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme was introduced in 2003 and currently has 60 students pursuing their DBA research with guidance from a mentor or supervisor. Various Master of Science (MSc) degrees in a number of specialisms are also available at the School.

Welcome to the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures. As a school we span five major areas: Asian Studies; Celtic & Scottish Studies; English Literature; European Languages & Cultures; and Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies and we offer postgraduate programmes and research opportunities in all of these areas. As a postgraduate student your choice of study expands further to allow you to study in more depth the likes of Translation Studies, Creative Writing and Film as well as interdisciplinary areas such as Comparative Literature and Theatre and Performance. During your study you will find that we encourage a vibrant Graduate School environment allowing you to benefit from the opportunity to share and discuss your work with your peers. We facilitate a number of seminar series, including the student-run Work in Progress seminars, and the Edinburgh Literature seminar, which is designed specifically for staff and postgraduates and features distinguished visiting speakers. We are sure that you will find Edinburgh truly inspirational as both a literary and cultural learning environment. A UNESCO World City of Literature, it buzzes with an average of 90 literary events a month, from readings to poetry slams and exhibitions. Edinburgh is also home to the world renowned Edinburgh International Festival, Festival Fringe, Book Festival and Film Festival, and so attracts international writers, theatre practitioners and film makers who bring with them a cultural focus that continues beyond the festivals themselves.
