Dagfa School Nottingham
Dagfa School Nottingham is an independent, co-educational school for pupils aged between 2and 16. Run by Head Teacher Jane Le Poidevin and her team, the school aims to encourage the personal development of its pupils by providing a wide range of both curricular and extracurricular stimulation. Through the two houses, Chatsworth House and Newstead Abbey, pupils are able to develop self-esteem and consideration for one another and because we are a small school, the bond between staff and pupils is excellent. We promote parent involvement in school life and have a very active PTA, so pupils can learn in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our mission is to develop our pupils’ interest in learning, which is reflected in our consistent academic success and most recently, 84% of our GCSE students achieved at least 5 GCSEs between A* and C grades in the 2012 exams, with many pupils exceeding their expected results. On top of this, in 2013 we will be launching the Diamond Class system for year 12 pupils. This will consist of smaller class sizes and tailored learning so that pupils can achieve the best of their potential.
Our concern is and always will be to help our pupils to do their best and to leave our care well rounded and intelligent young people.
