This run is a community based event started by a dedicated group of enthusiastic volunteers variety in running ability themselves, Riverside parkrun has been supported by Esh Charitable Trust and Durham County Cricket Club, allowing us to deliver a free weekly run timed run a friendly and safe run in a controlled environment. The event which encourages achievement of personal goals, volunteering and above all, physical activity regardless of age or ability to improve the health of the local community by bringing people together on a regular basis to enjoy beautiful scenery that Riverside Park has to offer. The accessibility of parkrun is key, whether you wanting to achieve a personal best (PB) time every week or simply complete the 5km course, all our runners come along safe in the knowledge they will be supported, encouraged and inspired to reach whatever goals they set.

Join us to enjoy the thrills and excitement and a fantastic time at the dogs! We race on Friday and Saturday evenings, first race 7.30.m. and Sunday afternoon, first race 12.00 noon.
