Accrington Road Runners

Clayton Hall Drive, Clayton le Moors ,
About us So what brings you here then? You want to take up running, maybe you are already a runner with no affiliation, or you're just being nosey? No problem. Let's give you some details about ARR and what to expect. Accrington Road Runners has been established for over 20 years and currently has membership in excess of 100 of all abilities. The club meets each Tuesday throughout the year at Wilson's Playing Fields in Clayton-le-Moors near Accrington, Lancashire where changing and shower facilities are available. Training runs begin at 6.30pm and are split into mixed abilities so no-one is left struggling or finds themselves out of their depth. If it's your first venture into running it is a good idea to get yourself into some sort of shape before coming down so that you can run for about 60 minutes at a modest pace. Don't forget though, no one gets left behind. Winter runs are obviously confined to pounding the streets around Hynburn and routes are varied each time to maintain interest .Summer runs are usually off the road. It could be Whalley Nab or a canal run, etc. the choice is endless.
